March’s Mind Spotlight
J. DIEKER
Some days our minds feel like a disorganized haze - no matter how many cups of coffee we just can’t seem to think straight! Sometimes brain fog comes from the kinds of food we eat, which is why physical detoxes are important. Additionally, there are some other strategies for better mental functioning.
Habits, habits, habits. All month we have been examining our habits! Habits that are important, especially for your mental health, are your sleep schedule.
Are you getting a minimum of 7-8 hours a night?
Do you give yourself wind-down time before bed, in order to facilitate better sleep?
Another important mental habit is screen time use.
When was the last time you checked in settings how much time you spend on your phone a day?
Try to mitigate habits such as doom scrolling and excessive screen time usage.
Mental habits such as these work in tandem with healthy habits for one’s heart. Improving one aspect of yourself benefits the rest, it’s a ripple effect. Click the respective links to find ideas about how to detox your heart, body, and home!
